I’d like to nominate for my first Douche Bag of the Week award, Senator Dick “Turban” Durbin from the great state of Illinois, for his asinine and borderline insane comments this week regarding the left’s failed attempts to swindle the American public into thinking socialized medicine is a good idea-
“Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) warned other members of Congress against antagonistic audience members at healthcare town hall events who may be funded by industry interest groups. “I hope my colleagues won’t fall for a sucker punch like this,” Durbin told the liberal blog ThinkProgress. “These health insurance companies and people like them are trying to load these town meetings for visual impact on television,” he added.”
I love how liberals like the esteemed Senator are all for free speech until people begin to disagree with them-then all of a sudden, it’s a right-wing conspiracy and everyone must be silenced. Insurance industry plants? Are you fucking kidding me? I haven’t spoken to a single person, be they Democrat or Republican, that is in favor of Government health care. But, according to big ol’ Dick here, whoever shows dissention to their ideas for a New World Order MUST be paid off by the insurance companies. What a Douche Bag.
